Setup WordPress site on Android

WordPress is one of the most popular site builder on the planet. WordPress makes it is easy to build a site from scratch and create content. WordPress for Android puts the power of publishing in your hands. Now you can write, edit and publish posts to your WordPress blog or site on the go, check site stats, catch up with your favorite sites and join the conversation anywhere, see comments and likes as they happen, etc.

Add WordPress site to Android mobile

Run WordPress app on your mobile phone, tap LOG IN button from the button. If you do not have a WordPress site yet. Note we will show you how to add a self-hosted WordPress blog or site to mobile phone other than a WordPress.com blog. After that you will be prompted to enter Email address. If you have linked your WordPress powered sites to a WordPress.com account, you can input your linked email address with this account to manage all your linked WordPress sites. Here we can skip this step now by tapping the link titled ‘Log in to your site by entering your site address instead‘ at the screen bottom.

Enter your site address or domain name. It could be a top level domain like http://www.domain.com, a subdomain like blog.domain.com, or even a subfolder like http://www.domain.com/blog.

If you do not have a top level domain yet, you can get one for free when you pay for the web hosting as some hosting service provide free domain.

Enter your full site address or domain name, touch the Next button to continue. If you see a Invalid SSL Certificate warning, most likely your WordPress site is not protected with a certificate or the certificate has expired. You can skip this step by tapping the Yes button to continue anyway. If you usually connect to the site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn’t continue.

The last steps to finish adding WordPress site to mobile phone is to fill in the WordPress username and password.

Now you have connected WordPress site to WordPress for Android app. You can continue to connect another site to start managing the WordPress site on mobile phone.
